Although the Guatemalan government has made significant budget contributions to procure health commodities, the health supply chain is still challenged to ensure essential medicines are available for all segments of the population. To better understand the strengths and weaknesses of Guatemala's public health supply chain, the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT conducted a supply chain costing study in collaboration with the Ministries of Health and Finance of Guatemala.
The study examined supply chain costs for contraceptives, vaccines, micronutrients, and essential medicines. The project has published a report, brief, and poster describing the details of the study and its recommendations. To download or view these publications, please visit http://bit.ly/1KJNI4t
