Treated bednet material

I have a friend who does a lot of business in Malawi and is inter-
ested to initiate a bednet manufacturing facility there, to be run by
the locals. He seeks no profit from this venture but is acutely
aware of the malaria problem in Africa. Can anyone tell me if this is
a good idea or is it perhaps already done by someone else. If it
should be done, where can one get the insecticide treated netting
from?
