The Swiss Tropical Institute invites applications for the posi-
tion of a Public Health Expert.
The successful candidate will strengthen the Public Health ex-
pertise of the Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) with
managerial and technical know-how in the context of its interna-
tional programmes and projects. The SCIH is one of the two op-
erational departments of the Swiss Tropical Institute, the lead-
ing academic institution in the field of international health in

Requirements for this challenging task include
* Postgraduate Public Health training
* Strong expertise in the field of HIV/AIDS
* Experience in the fields of health promotion and Reproductive
Health would be an asset
* Experience in health systems/health services management would
be an asset
* Minimum of 4 years working experience in the field of public
health in developing or transition countries
* Experience in managing (planning, implementation and evalua-
tion) development/aid projects
* Excellent English and French language skills, good German
skills preferable, Russian skills would be a plus
* Willingness to travel (up to 30% of work time)

An initial contract of 2 years will be offered.
