[e-drug] 2000 International Drug Price Indicator Guide

E-drug: 2000 International Drug Price Indicator Guide
---------------------------------------------
Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce the publication of the 2000 edition of the
International Drug Price Indicator Guide. Management Sciences for
Health produced this edition of the Guide in collaboration with the
World Health Organization. Development and publication of the Guide
were funded by the Strategies for Enhancing Access to Medicines
(SEAM) Program.

The International Drug Price Indicator Guide provides exactly what
the name implies - an indication of generic drug prices on the
international market. This Guide includes nonprofit suppliers and
commercial international procurement agencies, as well as actual
prices obtained through international competitive bidding (ICB).

The International Drug Price Indicator Guide helps Supply Officers
determine the probable cost of pharmaceutical products for their
programs. It can be used as a reference list to compare current
prices paid to those available on the international market; it can
also be used to assess the potential financial impact of changes to
their current drug list. The Guide is intended as a reference only;
it is not suitable for actually ordering products.

The electronic version of the 2000 edition will be posted on the
Manager's Electronic Resource Center (http://erc.msh.org/) in the
near future. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to
receive a print copy of the 2000 International Drug Price Indicator
Guide, please let me know.

Best regards,

Julie McFadyen
