E-DRUG: Pfizer Trovan Suspension Recommended In Europe

A 12-month suspension of Pfizer�s Trovan has been recommended by the
European Union�s Committee for Proprietary Medicinal Products. Pfizer
plans to appeal the decision.
European labeling for Trovan (trovafloxacin/ alatrofloxacin) was
recently revised to warn of the unpredictablity of "the onset and
severity" of liver injuries associated with the fluoroquinolone
antibiotic.
