E-DRUG: antibiotic prescription software? (2)
---------------------------------------------
[...]
We imagine the following setting : patient with indication of
antibiotic
(pneumonia adquired in community), physician selects, for example,
cephalosporins of third generation, the machine says " you are wrong"
and sound the bell, quickly the CPU says " for that indication the =3D
antibiotic of first line is:...."
[...]
Arturo,
I think, politely speaking, that is :-)-O, that this would be a poor =3D
replacement for physician's judgement. =3D
The number of essential drugs is relatively small and if I seem
to be able to keep most of them in memory (neural, not RAM :-)-O)
I reckon it can't be that difficult :-)-O. =3D
In particular rational antibiotic use is basically a matter of
common sense and blind belief into a tool will be no substitute.
I'd suggest much more to give all providers WWW access so one
can look up things in the literature...
