E-drug: Are patents a human right? (cont)
---------------------------------------------

Dear e-drug,

Would it be worth investigating which areas of trade this question
addresses? Without opening a can of worms, I can suggest certain
products and services that one could consider as having an impact on
the right to, say, information, education, etc. But, how then do we
define human rights in this ever widening context? Are we in fact
looking at reviewing the very structures of life as we know it? And
are all aspects of how we run our lives and societies ready for this
scrutiny? Of course, the right to health is paramount, and may be
focusing on this area is more appropriate in this debate.
