[e-drug] Banning metamisole in Moldova (7)

E-drug: Banning metamisole in Moldova (7)
------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Natalia
The Australian Therapeutics Guidelines: Analgesic, would be a
good reference for you. It is produced by a non-profit independent
group called Therapeutic Guidelines Inc. It covers the range of
analgesics used in Australia and describes their different roles.
There is a great chapter called Getting to Know Your Drugs.
We don't use injectable analgesics except in hospital-type settings
and we have never used dipyrone/metamizole and have managed
quite well. As mentioned by Leo Offerhaus, naproxen and similar
NSAIDs are found useful in Australia
To access the Analgesic Guidelines you can contact "Mary
Hemming" <mhemming@tg.com.au>
Best wishes
Beverley
