E-DRUG: Berne Declaration: Novartis Glivec patent case in India (2)
--------------------------------------
Hi,
Thank you E-Drug and dear activists for showing sincere concern and standing up for the marginalised population on the issues of medicine affordability.
It is indeed sorry state of affairs that the IPR ensures "medicines for few" (who can afford) while WHO continues to talk about "medicines for all".
The big pharma giants continue to bully the countries in legal cases because they have surplus money to spend on the lawyers, cases and courts. Goes on to indicate that the medicine profits of such companies need capping.
