E-DRUG: Blog on prescription opioids

There is a lot to do about the non-medical use of prescription opioids, especially in the USA. I published in the past more often on this topic, showing that the problem is often presented in a distorted manner. The perception is even made worse by some reporters who love to sensationalize.
As a result of all this, often measures are taken that blame patients who have nothing to do with this and that prevent these patients from accessing adequate pain management.
More and more, we see that anti-opioid lobbyist from the USA without any knowledge about the situation outside their country try to impose such measures on other countries where the problems are different or do not exist. In many of these countries however, access to opioid analgesics is close to impossible.
In my most recent blog, I demonstrated that some of these lobbyist even do not shy away from lying about the facts or hiding their conflicts of interest.
