E-DRUG: CA Training on Stores & Inventory Management, Zambia 21-25 sept
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

CROWN AGENTS TRAINING
STORES & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, LUSAKA, ZAMBIA
NEW DATES: 21-25 SEPTEMBER 2009

COURSE AIM:
As the interface between 'procurement' and 'distribution' it may be argued that stores management is the most important link in the supply chain. Stock represents money, so it is essential inventory is safe, and levels are appropriate when measured against budgets and desired service levels. Crown Agents has developed this comprehensive training course to explore all aspects of this subject for delegates to expand their knowledge in a structured and interactive learning environment.

This course will take place in Lusaka, Zambia, so that participants can benefit from working with Crown Agents warehousing, storage and distribution experts who manage the Zambian Governments Medical Stores Limited (MSL). MSL stores and distributes essential medical supplies to health institutions all over Zambia. A site visit to MSL during the course will allow participants to inspect what former US President Bill Clinton described as "a magnificent distribution centre" when he toured the facility in July 2007. He also commented that "this [MSL] is the sort of thing we need to do for the rest of Africa".
