Certificate Course in Ensuring Product Quality in Procurement & Supply Chain of Health Commodities, February 17-22, India (Empower, USP, RBM, Stop TB, and more)

Course objective: Gaining a better understanding of the fundamentals of quality in procurement and supply chain; how to budget for quality assurance activities in the procurement budget; drafting better policies for ensuring quality products in public health programs; gaining hands-on experience in writing QA plans

Recommended participants: Public health professionals; supply chain / logistics professionals working in procurement, warehousing, distribution, policy, planning, quality assurance; community-based organisations and treatment activists at national and local level; civil society representatives; pharmacists; QA and laboratory professionals

Delivery of course: Lectures, case studies, field trips, discussions and peer to peer interaction
Language: The course will be conducted in English
Faculty: International faculty with background in quality assurance, pharmacy, medicine, management, supply chain, essential medicines, and more. Faculty have worked closely with leading UN agencies, Global Fund, various donor organizations (USP, Pharmexcil, etc), and foundations (Gates Foundation, CHAI, Open Society Institute, and more), and various Ministries of Health

Cost: Tuition fee: 1,950 €

Tuition fee includes:

• Training, conference room, reading course material, CDROMs, certificate, lunch, 2 coffee breaks, graduation ceremony, gala dinner and technical support for each participant for 12 months after completion of course

Accommodation: We will suggest a few hotels near the conference venue. All participants must make their own bookings

Stop TB Partnership was founded in 2001 with a mission is to serve every person who is vulnerable to TB and ensure that high-quality treatment is available to all who need it; to stop transmission of TB and to develop and implement new preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic tools and strategies to stop TB. The Partnership is recognized as a unique international body with the power to align actors all over the world in the fight against TB

The Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership is the global framework for co-ordinated action against malaria. The main objective of the RBM partnership is the scaling up of interventions at country level to ensure wide spread coverage, particularly to population groups most vulnerable

The John A. Kufuor Foundation was established in August 2009 by President John Agyekum Kufuor, President of the Republic of Ghana. The Foundation's areas of focus is Leadership, Governance and Development. The Foundation believes that the pursuit of these areas in tandem is critical to the development of the African continent

Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is an organization under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India. It is responsible for the promotion and oversight of pharmaceutical export from India. It is the sole agency which can issue RCMC certificate to the manufacturers / exporters exporting pharmaceuticals from India
