ResultsinHealth is looking for independent senior laboratory experts who are experienced in assessing laboratory systems and associated laboratory commodity supply chains to produce high quality actionable recommendations to governments, international agencies and partners. Assignments will be on a short-term basis

Responsibilities
Assessments may include full laboratory systems reviews, or parts thereof. Experts will assess systems with the aim of ensuring best practices and risk minimization for the Global Fund through services with the Local Fund Agent. Activities may involve onsite assessment visits, as well as desk reviews of documentation. Requests come often at short notice, and responses must be swift. Onsite work typically requires 1-2 weeks visits, and reporting is generally required shortly thereafter
During the COVID19 pandemic all work is carried out remotely

Profile & Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in laboratory services and the management of diagnostic products, including:
* Experience with international agencies on strengthening laboratory services and/or diagnostic product/equipment matters
* Experience with and strong understanding of the diagnostic platforms used for the management of HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria programmes in limited resource settings
* Expertise in working with and understanding Quality Assurance (QA) systems, the selection of laboratory diagnostics and the implementation of diagnostic programs
* Working knowledge of WHO, GF and PEPFAR laboratory policies and guidelines
* Working knowledge of procurement and supply chain good practices for diagnostic products
* Good understanding of the WHO prequalification program and the work of the Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF)
* Experience in preparing policy documents and technical guidelines
* Fluency in French and English

An advanced University Degree in medical biology or pharmacy is required, and good written and spoken French and English are essential

Preference will be given to candidates with laboratory systems experience in West and Central Africa, including the ability to share experiences and lessons learned from multiple countries and epidemiological contexts
