E-DRUG: Continuing education for pharmacists

Dear fellow e-druggers,
I know that many countries and many professions, for one to be maintained on a register, he/she should be involved in continuing education. This is not the actual academic education of certificates, degrees etc but updating one's knowledge. How do you do it in you country? What are the guidelines?
