E-DRUG: Coronavirus Politics: Comparative Politics and Policy of COVID-19
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear colleagues,
I am happy to share an open access publication “Coronavirus Politics: The Comparative Politics and Policy of COVID-19
https://www.fulcrum.org/concern/monographs/jq085n03q
(University of Michigan Press) organized by Scott Greer, Elizabeth King, and me. The book brings together a team of about 70 public health researchers and political scientists who dove into understanding policy and politics to measure the effectiveness of governments’ responses — instead of looking at classical data like the number of deaths and the contagion curve of the disease.
The book is focused on the first wave of the pandemic and in the conclusion, we make some reflections about “vaccines: power and political economy” that might interest some members of this group.
Best, Elize
