E-drug: Counterfeit and substandard drugs

Very few American physicians or pharmacologists are aware of the problem of
counterfeit or substandard drug products. I suspect this is true for these
professionals in other industrial countries, too. To bring this subject to
the attention of the readers of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, I
wrote a commentary about it (Clin Pharmacol Ther 2001; 69 (4, April) ). It
