E-drug: Data on Generic ARVs
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Sunaina, the one document you certainly want to see/download
is the one from MSF"Untangling the web of price reductions",
which you can reach from the www.who.int/medicines site,
choosing the HIV/AIDS medicines section. I don't have the
precise coordinates with me at the moment, but if you cannot
find it here, look for it on the MSF site. HH]
Hello E-druggers,
I need to construct supply/demand curves for a paper I am
writing in IP/Economics to illustrate the viability of competition
with generic drugs. I want to use HIV/AIDS drug prices as an
example. Does anyone have statistics that show that a
decrease in price of ARVs from $10,000 to under $300 has
dramatically increased the number of users of these drugs?
Perhaps, you may direct me to a study that has shown these
trends. In particular, I need volumes of pills sold/supplied in
relation to price of these pills.
Thanks for your help,
