E-drug: drug-interactions
---------------------------------------------
Dear list members,
The drug interaction programmes I know are not friendly enough. To
know, for example, whether I can prescribe together: Tagamet,
Metaclopramid, Cordarone and Erytromycin, I have to call up and check at
least three of them one after another. My question is whether, after
introducing the order of the above drugs into a computer could I get,
without extra work, information which will be a result of this
particular combination? That is to say, does a programme already exist
which signals such interactions automatically? And, to make my
happiness complete, would such a program ask me whether my patient
presents contra-indications to these drugs, e.g. liver cirrhosis, warning
me that I should modify the dosage?
All information would be gratefully received,
Yours sincerely,
Maciej Krzanowski, MD,
