Dear E-DRUG,
I am compiling drug pricing data with the help of some very generous
volunteers throughout the world. Data which will be posted to on the
internet and disseminated broadly to those interested. I do have a few
questions, however, and hope that some of you E-DRUGgers have suggestions.
I am compiling information on selected drugs that treat severe illness.
This list is more suggestive than a precise definition of severe illness.
Because I already have lists of most prescribed drugs, drugs with the
highest revenues globally, and will be doing one on essential drugs, we
want to also examine drugs that are important, yet not prescribed as
often. I have attached the list here and welcome suggestions and am
seeking common dosage and amounts. Understandably the administration is
different in each case, but we need to come up with a viable standard of
dosage to make a comparison.
Taxol
Levamisole
Ceredase
Carboplatin
Anti-Murine Erythropoietin (EPO) Receptor, polyclonal
AZT
Indinavir (Crixivan)
Methotrexate
Verapamil
Phenytoin
In addition, I am waiting on the 8th Essential Drug list from the WHO by
mail. However, if anyone can simply give me the first ten on the list, I
would greatly appreciate it. That way, I can begin collecting information
on those drugs as well.
The information I have collected so far can be found at
http://www.essential.org/cpt/dprice/dprice.html
Thanks for your time and patience.
Regards,
Sara Wood, swood@essential.org
