E-drug: drug scheduling (cont)

With reference to the recent enquiry on 'switching' from prescription to
non-prescription medicines, new guidelines will be published by WHO by the
end of this year. These are 'Guidelines for the Regulatory Assessment of
Medicinal Products for use in Self-Medication'. They will be available from
the Department of Essential Drugs and other Medicines.
