E-DRUG: drugs with the same trade name
--------------------------------------
Hello e-druggers,
I am surprised to find two different drugs in the same trade name being
marketed.
1.. Dabur pharmacy sells a drug called "LONA" which is salt containing low
sodium.
2.. "Calyx" a division of "Triton Health Care Pvt. Ltd." markets the same
trade name "LONA". However, this contains "Clonazepam".
1.. A-Z (Alkem lab) is marketed as a multivitamin
2.. AZ is promoted (Kopran) as Azithromycin.
3.. ABZ (Kare health specialties) - Albendazole
I wish such things are not only confusing to the medical fraternity, but to
the patients as well. I do not know whom to blame for the same. This can be
avoided if necessary steps are being taken.

[Are all these products formally registered by Indian Drug Controller? Their
office would normally be responsible to avoid similar or look-a-like names.
