E-drug: Diclofenac & Mefenamic acid (cont'd)

Both seem unusual choices for children. In the UK, I guess
there will be some use of ibuprofen but not much. I would be *very*
concerned about the use of mefenamic acid - as many may already know,
it commonly causes convulsions in overdose, even with relatively
small amounts. I would therefore have thought that the risk of
accidental ingestion of overdoses by children would prohibit its
use in that age group.
