'get' command
--------------------
Dear colleagues,
Phil Temples, System Administrator at HealthNet/SatelLife informed us that
system problems at their site have required that they temporarily had to
disable the "get" feature. With the 'get' command you can usually request
archived documents/messages to be sent via e-mail to your computer. We
shall inform you when the feature is available again.
We also would like to ask you to be patient if it takes some time for your
message posted to E-drug to appear on this conference. Since this is a
moderated conference all messages sent to E-drug first bounce back to
one of the E-drug moderators for approval.
This is necessary because about 20% of messages are
requests for subscription, personal information (... aren't you the one I
met last year in Jo'burg..) or empty messages (somebody just pressed the
'reply' button without adding anything). There is also the need for minor
editing, removing things like '=20' from the end of lines.
Only afterwards it goes back to the HealthNet/SatelLife server for
distribution to the 450+ subscribers of the conference.
Four E-druggers are currently volunteer-moderators: Hilbrand Haak,
Richard Laing, Syed Rizwan Ahmed and myself.
Suggestions for improvements and new topics to be discussed are
welcome.
Thanks and regards,
Wilbert Bannenberg
