E-DRUG: E-DRUG The influence of promotion

Dear Friends,

Melissa Sweet, a respected medical journalist has written an excellent
overview of the influence of promotion on the use of medicines. The
overview draws on her earlier experience doing PR on contract to drug
companies and Australian examples of media manipulation. However the
article is relevant to most countries and cites the international
literature extensively.

With Melissa's permission we have added some comments and re-published as
MaLAM International editions. (MaLAM is the Medical Lobby for Appropriate
Marketing, an international organisation for health professionals with the
aim of encouraging pharmaceutical companies to be more honest and helpful
than they currently are using methods similar to those of Amnesty
International.)

The Melissa Sweet editions have been very popular around the world and I
have been asked by Andrew Herxheimer to make them available to E-druggers.

If you would like a copy please contact me directly and let me know which
Word processor software you use and which version. If you would also like
more information about MaLAM then please provide a postal address.

As the advertisers would say this is a: New Free Offer.

regards,

Peter
