E-DRUG: EML 2019 final Report and AWARE Interactive Database

Dear e-druggers,
I am pleased to announce the publication of the unedited version of the Technical Report of the 2019 WHO Expert Committee on Selection and Use of Essential Medicines together with the AWaRe Classification Database.

The Technical Report explains in detail all decisions taken and recommendations made by the Expert Committee in relation to the applications received to update the WHO Model Lists of Essential Medicines.
The final edited and formatted version will be available in 4-6 weeks.
The AWaRe Classification Database is an interactive database of the 180 antibiotics classified by the Expert Committee into Access, Watch and Reserve to facilitate evaluation and monitoring of antibiotic use. A commentary on AWARE and EML Antibiotics listing has been accepted in Lancet Infectious Disease and will be published shortly (in press).
