I have the same question regarding the HPV vaccines to prevent cervical cancer. Merck has announced a US price for Gardasil of $360 per patient (target population: 9 - 16 year old girls, prior to sexual initiation). GSK has not won approval for Cervarix yet, nor have they announced a price.
Last week the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced a $27mm grant to PATH to study how to implement HPV vaccines in developing countries (90% of all cervical cancer deaths occur outside of the wealthy countries), but it is not clear what the financing mechanism, IP rights, or ultimate price will be outside of the OECD.
I'm working on a short article on this subject, currently in peer review.
