E-drug: Free MEDLINE (2)
------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
In a June 26 press release, the National Institutes of Health
announced that the National Library of Medicine will provide free
access to MEDLINE on the internet. The press release emphasizes
that consumers and health professionals worldwide will now have
fingertip access to cutting-edge research through MEDLINE.
Ironically, patients in the US can now access the world's primary
literature on drug research, but after 17 years of trying still
can't get accurate, consistent, and comprehensive written drug
information about their prescriptions in pharmacies.
