E-DRUG: German coding system for expiry dates

E-drug: German coding system for expiry dates
---------------------------------------------------------------
Dear E-druggers,

We received a donation from Germany through a non profit organization.
As often the case with drug donations, the packaging and the inserts are
in German. With difficulties we translated the inserts, but we have not
been able to discover the expiry dates of the drugs.

Below I am giving a few examples of expiry date codes in order to
illustrate our problem:

EXAMPLES:
Name Ch -B Reg Nr
FAKTU 290030 47975
PASPERTIN 4134086 P836
BETAISODONA BE 950
PARAXIN 734744-01 734455 P32
FLAMMAZINE 89403 VER Nr6505-12-310-5430
BATRAFEN 289 N034 10820
BRAUNOVIDON 422264 ART-NR 650416/7
MEGACILLIN 360CG M793
ZINKOXID Dab 9 Ch-B N 202130 ART NR 171 03 76

Our questions:
What is the "Ch-B"?
Can anybody give us the link between the "CH-B" and the expiry date?
And a related question, what is the key of the code to understand expiry
dates of german products?

[Seems to me that this is quite a perfect example of an inappropriate
drug donation. The Ministry of Health and the NGO may want to study
the WHO Guidelines for Drug Donations, WHO/DAP/96.2, May 1996.
