E-DRUG: German coding system for expiry dates (cont'd)

E-drug: German coding system for expiry dates (cont'd)
---------------------------------------------
Just for this purpose I bought last year the electronic version of
the German "Rote Liste" (Ed.Cantor). The answers are therefore
easy to give:

[Ch-B probably means "Charge-Batch]

1. Faktu (Tosse Arzneimittel) is a hemorrhoid preparation
containing 0.5% policresulen and 0.1% cinchocain.

2. Paspertin (Solvay) contains metoclopramide

3. Betaisodona (Mundipharma) is polyvidon-iodine

4. Paraxin (Boehringer Mannheim) contains chloramphenicol

5. Flammazine (Solvay) is silver sulfadiazine (useful and effective
treatment for large burns)

6. Batrafen (Hoechst) contains an unknown fungicide
(ciclopiroxolamin)

7. Braunovidin (Braun Melsungen) is again polyvidon-iodine

8. Megacillin (Gruenenthal) is phenoxymethylpenicillin

If there are any future queries on unidentifiable German presents,
please let me know.
