E-DRUG: Health Action International Conference
--------------------------------------
Dear e-druggers,
A date for your diary
As many of you will know, in 2006 Health Action International (HAI) celebrates 25 years of campaigning for increased access to essential medicines and their rational use. To mark this occasion, we are organising a very special conference in Amsterdam on the 26th - 27th October. Entitled
Pills, politics and practice: Demanding people-centred medicines policy
in the 21st century, the conference will focus on HAI's core areas of
work as three themes; Access to Essential Medicines, Rational Use and
the Democratisation of Medicines Policy, but from within the broader
context of consumer representation at all levels. The conference will
be accompanied by a booklet looking at HAI partners' past achievements
and best practice, but the conference itself will look forwards,
exploring the realities of global consumer representation in the new
millennium.
We have booked a beautiful venue in Amsterdam for this celebratory
conference and promise delegates great content, excellent company and a
real celebration.
As speakers confirm and details become clear we will make another
announcement, but I wanted you to keep the dates clear;
Pills, politics and practice: Demanding people-centred medicines policy
in the 21st century
26th - 27th October, De Rode Hoed, Amsterdam
If you would like further details or have any ideas of who we should
invite to attend, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Rose
