E-drug: Information sought on Brazilian offer of generic antiretrovirals

Dear all,
Act Up-Paris is looking for information regarding Brazil's offer of generic
versions of antiretrovirals (ARV). If you have information regarding
this offer, or if you have the contact of somebody who might know, please
inform us.
Below, a few examples of the questions that we are seeking an answer to.

1) which antiretroviral drugs (and other costly AIDS drugs) exist as
generics in Brazil ? What is the level of evidence assuring their quality ?
2) are they manufactured by private generic companies or by public sector
concerns ?
3) what are the prices ?
4) how long have they been available ?
5) is there competition over these products ?
6) how much of the drugs' components are manufactured in Brazil, as opposed
to imported from India and China, the world's main source for
pharmaceutical components ?
7) are there any incentives/disincentives in Brazil for export (and import)
of antiretroviral generics ?
8) what is the Brazilian government's level of commitment to continuing
generic ARV production in the face of US pressure ? To exporting ARV
generics?
9) are the Brazilian ARV generic manufacturer interested in exporting their
products?
