E-DRUG: MDG task force report on access to essential medicines (2)
------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-druggers,

E-drug reported on 11 February about the Millennium Development Goals Task Force report on access to essential medicines, and gave a link to the 311 page draft report.

The final version of the access to medicines report has now been posted on the MP website (2 MByte PDF file):

http://unmp.forumone.com/eng_task_force/essentialmedicines/TF5-medicines-Complete.pdf

The good news is that the final is shorter - 188 pages. Unfortunately, it will present a printing problem for a lot of people.

Getting a hard copy is possible, but expensive. The MDG project did a deal with Earthscan, which is publishing all of the reports in a 14-volume set in April. The price (I hope you're sitting down) is going to be GBP 295.00
Whether single copies of the Essential Drug Report will be made available at a reduced rate to developing countries is not yet known.

Morale: download the PDF, and read on screen?

Thanks to Beryl Leach for the pointer.

Wilbert
