Hello All,
Encouraging results from the MSF programs!
May I request that MSF inform us on the methodology they used for measuring
adherence-'collated results in October 2003 showed that adherence was
excellent, at 87.6%.' Were there formal adherence education and counseling
sessions before initiation of therapy? What factors were attributed to this
relatively high adherence value? Also can you safely call that excellent?
Excellent is above 95%. I would be a bit more conservative and say 'good'
[but definitely an adherence report that is better than in developed
countries] But measurement methodology is critical in these reports,
otherwise we go home happy until resistance stares us on the face.
