[e-drug] New Internationalist article on drug company gifts (2)

E-DRUG: New Internationalist article on drug company gifts (2)
-------------------------------------------------------------

I refer to Tamar's request for information on this subject. I think e-drug
has covered this area extensively in the past, and an e-drug archive search
may prove useful. Other institutions will have covered this subject, too
(BMA publications, for example).

What I'd like to know is whether we are
going to learn something new through this NI article on big pharma. I've
valued NI since came across it all those years ago. I am positive that the
readers of NI will have come across this subject matter through other
media. So, I hope we get to read a different, interesting and original NI
view point on this subject, and that we learn something new. For example,
how has big pharma changed over the last five years, in response to this
accusation? What has it put into place to prevent / stop this practice?
Have laws / regulations changed to control / restrict / prevent this
practice? If the articl will cover these areas, then we shall have a
balanced view and something worth reading, and not covering old ground.

Bonnie
