E-DRUG: New York Times on donations to Kosovo region
-------------------------------------------------------
Dear e-druggers,
Today (June 29) an article in the New York Times (NYT) is published
under the title 'Among U.S. Donations, Tons of Worthless Drugs'. The
author, Reed Abelson, has done quite some research into practices and
ethics of donations of medical aid to the Kosovo region and in the past.
The articles describes examples of current inappropriate donations to
Albania and FYROM and discusses critically these practices by American
donor agencies and industries. I would like to invite our American
e-druggers to reply to this message and the article and to propose steps
of action.
Best greetings,
Mark Raijmakers
