E-DRUG: NIMESULIDE FOR CHILDREN
Our institution complained to the national drug regulator about the approval
of the use of NIMESULIDE in children. We know that indication in children is
not justified or recommended.
Moreover, it is our knowledge that the producer (Schering
Plough- USA) had not registered the drug in the United States. The company
responded to the Peruvian drug regulator that it did not register the
drug in the USA due to the fact that the patent of the product had expired.
We would like to receive information on the following issues:
1. If the drug (NIMESULIDE) is registered in your country by Schering
Plough USA or any other company
2. If that is so, we would like to know if the drug was authorized to be
used in children, and for what indications.
From those who know the situation in the USA we would like to know if the
drug WAS REGISTERED in the United States by Schering Plough USA
