E-DRUG: Online Discussion: The TRIPS Agreement Laid Bare - Learning the lessons of COVID-19 to improve access to health technologies
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-druggers,

Next week, Health Action International (HAI) will host an online event to mark the launch of our latest policy paper "The TRIPS Agreement Laid Bare: Learning the lessons of COVID-19 to improve access to health technologies"

We invite you to join speakers Jaume Vidal (Senior Policy Advisor, HAI) and Candice Sehoma (Advocacy Advisor, MSF Access Campaign) to discuss the impact of intellectual property on access to health technologies and what can be done to address the shortcomings of the current IP protection system when preparing for future health emergencies. In doing so we will also cover the main conversation points surrounding the TRIPS waiver, including the lived experiences of working on the waiver in South Africa, and what comes next.

The event will take place on Wednesday 2 November, 15.00-16.00 CET.
