E-drug: Pfizer aims to destroy Australian PBS (cont'd)
---------------------------------------------

In the UK, Sildenafil is available, funded by the NHS, for patients with
defined medical conditions such as diabetes, spinal cord injury,
previous pelvic surgery, prescribed by the GP and the prescription
endorsed by the GP to the effect that it is being used for these special
indications.

For patients with psychosexual problems, it is available funded by the
NHS, only from special psychosexual clinics, and not from GPs.

Of course, anyone can get a private prescription for it from a GP or
from private clinics, and pay for it themselves. It is also reportedly
becoming a regular drug of abuse, available in discotheques etc.
