E-drug: Pharmacists to Population Ratio (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry Natalia,
In Nordic countries the opening of a pharmacy is NOT free for the time
being in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark (pharmacy size
1-9000/18000).
In Iceland the law has recently changed and the ration became 1-7000
(there used to be larger pharmacies). In the Netherlands there are no
legal limitations to opening a pharmacy, but nevertheless the ratio is
1-9000/10000.
Regulations for pharmacies are very diverse throughout Europe, but
also the way pharmacies operate, how the staff is licensed (or not),
what they may sell (or not) etc..
