The 57th World Congress of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences will
be held August 31-September 5 1997 at the Vancouver Trade and
Convention Centre, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

A Symposium on Pharmacoeconomics is scheduled for September 3
14.00-17.00, this symposium is entitled:

Bridging the Gap between Academics and Decision Making.

General discussion

In addition the Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the International
Pharmacy Federation (FIP) established last year a Special Interest Group
(SIG) in pharmacoepidemiology and economics. The SIG is scheduled to
meet Thursday 4 September in room 17, 09.00-10.30 in the Vancouver
Convention Center. All interested in pharmacoepidemiology and economics
are invited to attend this meeting. A draft mission statement for
discussion will be emailed to all those who write to me DIRECTLY. Also,
everyone is invited to contribute agenda and discussion points for this
meeting in reply to this message.
