E-DRUG: PharmWeb Chat Launched

E-drug: PharmWeb Chat Launched
----------------------------------------------------

[for those of us with real-time Internet access and addictions/desire for
chatting, here's a new product from our 'competitors' at Pharmweb;
Wilbert Bannenberg, E-drug moderator]

PharmWeb Chat, a real-time pharmacy chat forum, has been launched. You can
talk to colleagues using PharmWeb Chat on matters relating to pharmacy,
pharmaceutical sciences, and health-related issues. PharmWeb Chat also
allows you to have a private meeting with a colleague. One way of using
PharmWeb Chat is to arrange a time with a colleague to use the forum.
Depending on feedback/usage, we plan to develop more specialised (and
possibly closed) chat rooms. If this service proves popular we will also
move onto more sophisticated software.

When you first go to the PharmWeb Chat page you will see a box asking for
your name. Enter your name then select the update button. To see what
messages have been sent simply press the update button periodically. If you
would like to take part enter your statement and select the send button. If
you would like to send a private message to another participant simply
select their name from the pull down menu. Private messages are not visible
to other participants.

A link to PharmWeb Chat can be found at the top of the PharmWeb Home Page at

Best wishes
