E-DRUG: Price regulations and control

Dear E-druggers
The South African private sector has been subjected to major upheaval over the past year due to badly introduced and worded legislation aimed at fixing prices, eliminating incentives and reducing profits. Do other pharmacists have any insight as to whether introduction of price fixing have influenced cost saving in any countries around the world?
Can a private sector co-exist with national health?
