E-DRUG: Prices of Coartem for governmental use

Dear E-Drug,
Is there more news on the price for governmental purchases of Coartem now
that the 6 dose (24 pills) is being recommended and in the context of the
sharp price increase for Artemether, as provoked by Novartis since the
harvest season in 2004. (We understand that also in 2005 prices will remain
high and that supply will be limited).
We read that Novartis is defending to increase the transfer price of Coartem
for governmental use.
If 16 tabs did cost 2.40 $, will the 6 dose ( 24 tabs ) cost 3.60 $?
Will there be a price increase on top of this because of the increased cost
price of artemether?
