E-drug: Promotion and Sale of Unsafe Drugs in Developing Countries
---------------------------------------------
Dangerous drugs are sometimes withdrawn from the U.S market but
continue to be sold in developing countries. It is well established
that Propulsid, for
example, has killed some users and is therefore no longer sold in the U.S.
But it appears to continue to be sold in Pakistan. I would like to research
this topic to identify drugs that have been withdrawn in North America and
Europe but which continue to be sold in poor countries. Also, a British
newspaper is looking into the story so there may be an opportunity to shed
some light on the issue. Any information about this that you wish to share
would be appreciated. And the source of information supplied will be kept
confidential.
