E-DRUG: Query about surgical antibiotic prophylaxis

Dear all
I would be obliged if you could suggest any guidelines about antibiotic prophylaxis for circumcision, episiotomy and procedures like dilatation and evacuation (D & E) and dilatation and curretage (D & C). I am interested in knowing whether antibiotics are required, what should be the antibiotic and what regimen is recommended.

[These procedures are not mentioned as needing antibiotic prohpylaxis in the Therapeutic Guidelines: Antibiotic and there does not appear to be anything in the Cochrane reviews. Perhaps some e-druggers have more information. BS]
