Can anyone out there help me with a question? I am fairly sure that I saw
the results of a large US trial of finasteride (Proscar) v an alpha blocker
in BPH reported as a news item on the Internet, but I have been unable to
find any further reference to it. It may have been a Veteran's trial, and I
think (but don't know for sure) that Proscar was found to be inferior to the
alpha blocker. It may have been presented at a Urology meeting in abstract
form. Can anyone help track this down or confirm this impression?
Given the recent exchanges about the industry and E-drug this might be a
good opportunity for someone from the sponsor organisations of the trial to
demonstrate the value of this medium for distributing infomation on their
products.
