E-drug: Request for information
---------------------------------------------
Dear E-druggers,
I am asked to carry out a comprehensive review of the world
literature on the determinants of antimicrobials use amongst
community members and health care providers in developing
countries. The review concentrates on identifying factors that
underlie use of antimicrobials amongst these two groups. The final
outcomes are hoped to provide answers on how to improve
research and interventions leading to better use of antimicrobials.
So far, I have carried out comprehensive searches in Medline,
Popline, and the social science citation index. I also searched the
INRUD drug use bibliographies, the website of ICIUM, WHO/EDM
etc.
What is more difficult for me to obtain is the so-called "grey
literature"; or documents that have been prepared by researchers,
but not published in the international literature. This kind of
literature could provide important additional information for my
review and I would warmly welcome E-druggers to share it with
me. Any other published or unpublished information would be
welcome as well. Preferably I would like to receive such literature
by e-mail, but hard copies may also be sent.
After the review I will make a summary of my findings available to
the E-drug family.
Thank you for your help,
