E-drug: Response to the crisis in the Australian PBS (cont)
---------------------------------------------
Several people have asked if there is anything they can do right now to
support the members of the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
The answer is probably 'no'. The legislative amendment goes to a
vote in the Australian Senate in a few hours. We have lobbied hard.
If the amendment is withdrawn, or is defeated, the issues may be
referred to a Senate committee for further inquiry. If that happens
there will be an
opportunity for people to make representations.

Thank-you to all who have offered support.

[Several people emailed Senator Tambling during the weekend so he
will get those message if he opens his email before the meeting.
Thank you very much. BS]
