E-DRUG: RFI: Availability of ACT?
---------------------------------
Dear E-Druggers:
8 NOVEMBER 2004 | GENEVA -- Sharply increased demand for
artemether-lumefantrine, an artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT)
used to treat malaria, is likely to result in a shortage from now until at
least March 2005.
In November the WHO issued a statement on shortages of ACT, which said that
the shortages would last at least through March 2005. Has anyone heard an
update about availability of ACTs, including Novartis' Coartem?
Thank you
