Dear Colleague,

There are several WHO Publications on the subject of Pharmacovigilance. The
following should be particularly useful in your lectures:

1. The Importance of Pharmacovigilance: Safety monitoring of medicinal
products, 2002, World Helath Organization.

http://www.who.int/medicines/library/qsm/ip_booklet.pdf

2. Safety of Medicines: a guide to detecting and reporting adverse drug
reactions.

http://www.who.int/medicines/library/qsm/who-edm-qsm-2002-2/esd_safety.pdf

3. Safety Monitoring of medicinal products: guidelines for setting up and
running a pharmacovigilance centre.

http://www.who-umc.org/pdfs/guidelines.pdf

4. In addition several power point presentations in pharmacovigilance are
also posted on the WHO essential Medicines website:

http://www.who.int/medicines/

On this page, look under the box Latest, on the right side of the screen.
There is an item 'WHO takes measures to start monitoring of safety and
efficacy of HAART.....'. Click on this item and it will take you to all
relevant presentations.

5. Try our collaborating centre website for additional publications.
